Winter warmers under the stars

For people who are struggling to find a place to call home and their next meal, warm winter curry 🍛 beautifully prepared by Elizabeth Cafe , warmed up Tauranga streets this week.

On a crisp winters day 🧊 the  Under the Stars team handed 20 yummy curries out to the weekly Under the Stars Thursday lunch. This lunch has had increasing attendance since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic and not only feeds those living on the streets, but also a number of families earning minimum wage and struggling to feed their families due to the increased cost of living in Aotearoa.

This was only able to happen thanks to the kind customers at Elizabeth Cafe paying-it-forward, and of course their team for matching donations and lovingly preparing the curries.
