The power of sleep

Every day Kindness Collective, receives referrals for families experiencing poverty, homelessness, illness, disability, or family violence.

Founded in 2013, the organisation was built on the mission to make Aotearoa a kinder place for all - a place where every Kiwi deserves to thrive but at the very least have access to the basics. They go to the need. That means some weeks they’re packing PJs, others it’s food boxes, and when Kind Face is in the mix, it’s pillows.

Sleep is one of the most important things we can do for our bodies and minds, but for many a comfy pillow - or sometimes any pillow - is not something they can afford to prioritise. To date Kind Face’s generosity has helped 40 people in need to get some much needed rest.

For many something as simple as a good pillow can be a source of comfort and reminder that they are cared for.
