When you’re stressed and tired, the idea of cooking dinner feels like too much effort. For many of us that’s when Uber Eats would start looking pretty tempting, but for those in our community who’ve had to leave their home, it’s not an option.
To offer a moment of relief, Miss Gee’s Bar and Eatery paid-forward 40 of their gourmet meals to the women and children at Tauranga Women’s Refuge.
This not-for-profit organisation provides a safe place for those who are dealing with domestic violence, giving them respite, support and care. They do all they can to help bring a sense of love back into these women and their children’s lives, while helping them deal with their trauma so they can move forward.
To help Tauranga Women’s Refuge offer support in a tough time, Miss Gee’s and their customers generously paid-it-forward 40 meals to Tauranga Women’s Refuge. The women and children were treated to chicken and leek potato top pie and a side of roasted cheesy cauliflower.
If you want to help, whilst also having fun, think Miss Gee’s next time you’re organising a night out. They’re based on The Strand in Tauranga and are known for their delicious food and cocktails. An easy choice to visit and add on a small pay-it-forward amount!
