Not all businesses are just concerned with the bottom line. Many are ethically, sustainably and community minded, wanting to help others and not just themselves. Sound like an idealistic world? Well, we’ve arrived.
Enter Flo & Frankie. Flo & Frankie is a mother and three-daughter company set up to offer up-to-the-minute fashion, gifts and home products to the marketplace, but they also want to help Aotearoa New Zealand and international communities in a bid to take their social and community responsibilities seriously. One of their projects is working with Tear Fund to help women and children in Nepal. They also support environmental initiatives as well.
Because Flo & Frankie like to let their actions speak louder than their words, they paid-it-forward a $400 voucher to Look Good Feel Better to enable them to help cancer sufferers to look good and feel good about themselves.
Look Good Feel Better was set up to assist those with cancer. Their free community and online programmes assist cancer sufferers as they cope with treatment and body changes so that they can retain a measure of self-respect and self-confidence. These programmes help those with cancer to feel a bit more “normal” and in control of their lives. They are also a chance for cancer patients to stop thinking about treatments and medical appointments and to concentrate on themselves and how they are feeling—and, of course, how they look! Flo and Frankie’s generosity can help some of these cancer patients to develop more self-confidence as they continue on their cancer journey.
If you, too, want to support community initiatives like Look Good Feel Better, why not add a little to your bill next time you’re shopping at Flo and Frankie—even the smallest amount can make a difference.
Here’s how generous people just like you have made a difference to local people in need.
