Let’s be honest—you’re looking good! That’s the message we all like to hear, especially those of us who’ve been diagnosed with breast cancer. You see, breast cancer can often mean a mastectomy—and that’s hard for women (and men) to cope with—and, because those with breast cancer aren’t feeling that good, they also believe they don’t look good either.
To help those with breast cancer in the Bay of Plenty region, Breast Cancer Support Service (BCSS) was set up in Tauranga in 1991 to provide emotional and physical support to those with the disease. The volunteers at BCSS have all “been there, done that” when it comes to breast cancer, so they know firsthand what it’s like to hear the diagnosis, process it and then try to make sense of it in their own lives. BCSS really wants to make a difference in these women’s (and some men’s) lives.
Also wanting to make a difference in the lives of community members is Honest Skincare. They paid-it-forward a $600 voucher for their skincare products to BCSS so that their clients can have a little something to make them look and feel good too.
Honest Skincare is just that—honest. The company uses natural ingredients like kawakawa, beeswax and flaxseed oil to make their products, and they’re also into sustainability—they have no plastic in their packaging! What’s even more honest about Honest Skincare is that everything they put into their products is edible—yes, you can eat it! But it may be better put onto your skin!
If you, too, want to be told that you’re looking good, why not check out Honest Skincare online? And, when you do, you can add a little to your bill to help Honest Skincare continue to offer a better future for others in our community, like BCSS. Honestly, you won’t be disappointed.
Here’s how generous people just like you have made a difference to local people in need.
