What does a sausage have to do with the fight against poverty? Quite a lot when El Jefe Meats is involved.

You see, El Jefe regularly pays-it-forward meat products to The Salvation Army, whose focus has been to fight poverty (as well as social and spiritual issues) in New Zealand for 140 years. El Jefe’s latest pay-it-forward was $221 worth of their delicious meats to the Army.

The Salvation Army wants to meet needs in the community and does this in a variety of ways, from budgeting advice to gambling support, and from offering accommodation to food parcels. And, of course, The Salvation Army has weekly church services as well. The Salvation Army really is a salvation to so many needy people.

El Jefe Meats are in the business of making sausages. But not just any sausages. These are hand-made bangers, using 100% natural ingredients. They’re also dairy free, gluten free and keto friendly if anyone has any dietary requirements. Plus … they’re really tasty, with a South American flavour all of their own! You can order their products online (you can add a little to your bill, too, so as to help out with the pay-it-forwards) and have them delivered to your door or pick them up from their base at 3/60 Aviation Ave in Mount Maunganui.

Corporate partner First Mortgage Trust assisted El Jefe with the pay-it-forward to The Salvation Army too.

So, next time you need some sausies for your dinner or barbie, think El Jefe and also be part of the fight against poverty. You’ll never look at a sausage in the same way again.
