Some people rely on foodbanks to feed their families but also for other items like cleaning products and toiletries. Foodbanks are community spaces where people are helping people just to survive. They are also busy places that rely on donations from individuals and businesses to do the work that they do.
One such place that is helping the local foodbank (the Mosgiel Community Foodbank) is Rosy Posy, a craft collective at 23 Holyhead Street in Outram, near Dunedin.
They paid-it-forward a $100 voucher to the Mosgiel Foodbank that can be redeemed for a variety of products they have on offer. Thanks for your generosity Rosy Posy!
The Mosgiel Community Foodbank is there for the Mosgiel community. They are open from 10am until 11.45am on weekday mornings, and you can find them at 2 Wickliffe Street in Mosgiel. Sometimes their cupboards or shelves are bare or nearly bare, so the Mosgiel Foodbank are very grateful to Rosy Posy and others who generously donate to help others in need.
Not all of us live at the bottom of the South Island but, if you want to pay-it-forward to others in need, why not head to our marketplace – there are many ways that you can be part of paying-it-forward, both instore and online.
Here’s how generous people just like you have made a difference to local people in need.
