Phone call or online order, and bam! Pizzas can be delivered to your door, Pizza Library takes away the stress of whipping up a meal. How good is that?
Not so good for everyone though, some of our most vulnerable and most hungry don’t have that ease of getting a meal. But on two days a week, Under the Stars is trying to change that for the homeless and in need in Tauranga.
Under the Stars, a charitable trust run by volunteers, is well aware of the needs of these folk and provides lunches on Thursdays and dinners on Saturdays. They feed over 100 people per week from their base at 45 Cliff Road in Tauranga, but they can’t do this without the generosity of others.
One of these generous businesses is The Pizza Library Mount Maunganui, who paid-it-forward 12 of their delicious pizzas to Under the Stars to help them feed those in need in the local community. Now that’s food that’s doing as good as it tastes!
What makes The Pizza Library’s pizzas so yummy? They use “tried-and-true traditional methods, fresh and tasty ingredients, and a whole lot of care and attention”. You can dine in house (314 Maunganui Road), order online and do a pick up, or even have the pizzas delivered to your door. And even better you can help feed our needy by adding a small pay-it-forward to your bill - even just $1 can help.
To help increase the generosity, The Pizza Library’s corporate partners Holland Beckett Law and the CSC Buying Group provided extra pay-it-forwards. That means more pizzas for Under the Stars to hand out. We love to see so many great businesses working together to help people in our local community.
If you’re not in Tauranga, head to our marketplace to see where you can pay-it-forward in your area.
Here’s how generous people just like you have made a difference to local people in need.
