Life is made up of experiences. From coffee dates to skydiving and everything in between. No-one should have to miss out on a well-lived life, filled with the experiences they want to have.
To help our youth with disabilities engage with new activities that promote healthy living, social spaces and building friendships, Recreate Bay of Plenty is here.
ReCreate was set up to offer group-based activities for young people (10–25 years) with mild to moderate intellectual disabilities.
As they’re a registered charity, ReCreate is always grateful for donations from others, including Mount Zion Coffee. Mount Zion has paid-it-forward twenty coffees to be used by ReCreate staff, volunteers and guests – what a treat to be able to share these brews and have a social time together!
ReCreate Team
Mt Zion is a specialty coffee shop at 27 Spring Street in Tauranga. They’re open from 7am–2pm five days per week and from 8.30am to 1.30pm on Saturdays to offer you pick-me-up coffees (and other beverages) and yummy eats, and they can also sell you coffee beans so you can grind and brew your own coffees at home. How good is that?! As Mt Zion wisely notes, “Coffee makes waking up far easier”!
Together with corporate partner CSC Buying Group (a Cambridge-based not-for-profit that offers bulk buying discounts for businesses), Mt Zion is able to offer a better future for some of the young people in our Tauranga community.
So, if you need a coffee on your way to work or just because you love the experience, head on down to Mount Zion and add a little to your bill as well so they can continue paying-it-forward to ReCreate.
If you’re not based in the BOP, head to our marketplace to see where else you can pay-it-forward.
Here’s how generous people just like you have made a difference to local people in need.
