Working out what matters most to you and creating habits to suit is a hard ask for anyone who is doing it on their own. Let alone for our school-aged kids who already have so much on their plate, working out who they are, who they want to be, and all the usual schooling and social load.

For 12 of our rangatahi (youth) and their mentors from Graeme Dingle Foundation, setting a path of where they want to go and how to get there was made easier through a coaching session with Fresh Coaching

Anna, founder and coach, has been working in the wellness industry for 20 years, supporting individuals to make changes and connect with the things that matter most to them.

During her session with these lucky rangatahi, Anna took them through an hour-long workshop that provided insight on goal setting and how to be clear on what matters to them and why. During this session she also gave them the tools and support to define their core values and set goals based on them, as well as how to overcome obstacles, build confidence and build self trust. All things that make meeting goals easier and benefit in all areas of life.

Mum was a teacher. She was an excellent one. She had wisdom, intellect and patience to teach in classrooms for decades. Last week, thanks to the wonderful initiative GoGenerosity I had the opportunity to be in the classroom like my mum, and talk about goal setting from a different perspective than the traditional approach. I met with some really great kids and dedicated mentors on the Graeme Dingle Foundation Western Bay of Plenty, Project K to talk about goals having meaning and intent. About creating daily habits which shape our days, weeks, months and years so we change our trajectory. About bringing a strong why into our goals, so they mean something more than just a tick in the box. A big shout out to teachers, past, present and future!

Owner & Coach, Fresh Coaching

This special workshop was made possible thanks to the generous corporates on our platform, as well as the Graeme Dingle Foundation. This charity works with Aotearoa New Zealand’s tamariki and rangatahi at different life stages, working directly with schools and communities. The collaboration with Fresh Coaching was the perfect way to help young New Zealanders achieve their potential - Graeme Dingle Foundation’s north star goal as an organisation.
