Dining out can be fun! Dressing up, choosing a restaurant, pondering the menu, and trying all sorts of different meals that you’d never make yourselves. Who’d say no to such an outing? But all of this costs money that not everyone has to spare for a night out.

To offer such an experience for people who can’t afford it, The Atrium Café has their own dinner parties in their eatery, and guests are asked for a small koha (donation) in return for a restaurant-style meal. The Atrium paid-it-forward 108 of these meals to members of the local community at one of their recent dinner gatherings. That’s 108 people who were waited on in style and made to feel extra special as they had a rare evening out.

The Atrium (252 Otumoetai Road, Tauranga) is a café, serving breakfasts, brunches, and lunches, as well as delicious coffees and cabinet food treats. They also have delectable frozen meals to purchase if you’re wanting a night off from cooking. Check them out!

Assisting The Atrium in their generosity is CSC Buying Group, a Cambridge-based not-for-profit that offers bulk buying for businesses. Thanks to the generous patrons who use CSC – and The Atrium – the latest dinner party was a great success!

If you also want to be part of the pay-it-forward action, think about adding a little extra to your bill when you’re next having a coffee fix at The Atrium. There’ll be dinner party guests that’ll be very grateful.

You can see the impact of their (and your) generosity here in their Generosity HUB.
