We all want our young people to be the best they can be, and as older generations it’s our job to help them get there. Youth growing up to be caring and contributing members of society also means a better future for us all.

This is where Fresh Coaching comes in. Anna at Fresh Coaching paid-it-forward a $250 workshop – part of the Aiga (family of youth) programme – which bout 50 youth attended. The Aiga programme is designed to encourage Pasifika young ones aged 12–17 years old to develop their mental, physical and cultural skills using traditional Pasifika practices. It's a course that comes under the umbrella of the Bay of Plenty (BOP) Youth Development Trust.

The Youth Development Trust was set up in 2017 to help develop Tauranga youth into caring community members through their variety of inspiring programmes. It aims to develop self-belief and self-esteem as well as encouraging our young ones to dream big dreams for themselves and others. The Aiga is just one such programme, but there are others, like the Tauranga Boxing Academy, that The Trust runs. You can find them at Youth Central at 135 Thirteenth Ave in Tauranga.

Fresh Coaching is also all about helping people become the best version of themselves. Anna offers workshops, coaching and bespoke courses to make people of all ages more aware of themselves, their abilities and their mental health. Anna also does work with corporates to help with team morale, deal with stress and develop mindfulness to improve staff relationships. You can contact Anna online if you’re keen to work with her for self-development or to access some of the resources she offers.
