Paddington Store has recently given 10 care packs to Women’s Refuge Tauranga 🎁 These care packs, each worth $106, included Ashley and Co. lip balm and soap, a Bianca Lorenne blanket and a renewing face mask. For women suffering from abuse and who seek a safe haven for themselves and their children at Women’s Refuge Tauranga, these care packs are a little bit of luxury and indulgence to help them feel unique and appreciated. The care packs would also help these women to gain some form of self-confidence and self-esteem.

Women’s Refuge is a New Zealand-wide organisation whose vision is “for all women and children in Aotearoa to live free from domestic and family violence”. Sadly, family violence is a significant issue in Aotearoa New Zealand society. 

Therefore, S&L Land Specialists wanted to help alleviate some of the harm associated with family violence and worked with Paddington Store and GoGenerosity to offer some care to these women. S&L Land Specialists, based at 97 Grey Street in Tauranga, is a team of planners, surveyors and engineers who can advise people on land use and development. They are a locally owned business that has been part of Tauranga’s history since the 1960s. However, they do not just take pride in the physical environment; they want to help improve the social environment as well so have been active in helping women at the Women’s Refuge Tauranga in the local area. S&L Land Specialists and Paddington Store, just like GoGenerosity, believe in paying-it-forward for a better future for the women and children of Tauranga.
