Having a girls’ night out is a coming of age experience for many of us. Thanks to Rain Bar 10 lovely ladies from Recreate Bay of Plenty were able to have that experience for themselves.

ReCreate BOP is an organisation dedicated to helping young people aged from about 10 to 35 years who have mild to moderate intellectual disabilities. They provide experiences through offering social, outdoor and recreational activities, and even have special programmes in the school holidays. Everything they do is group based, including their girls’ nights out! So, it was a special and fun time when ReCreate ladies were treated to a restaurant outing at Rain Bar.

You, too, could try Rain Bar in Papamoa (that’s south of Mount Maunganui).  You can find them at 30 Gravatt Road. They offer share plates, main meals, and delicious desserts to suit everyone’s palate. Rain Bar believes in good food and good company, but they also believe in giving out. That’s why they are working with us here at GoGenerosity to help those in the community in need. And that’s why they hosted the 10 ladies for a night out of fun, food and fellowship.

Did you know that Rain Bar has paid-it-forward over $17,000—yes, $17,000!—worth of meals to others less fortunate in the community?

Rain Bar’s patrons (that could be you!) have helped in this giving, generously adding extra amounts to their bill so that everyone can be part of the cycle of giving and caring.

They/you have donated over $3,000 to date — well done! Why not stop by next time you are in the area to cheers yourself and the team for the great work?
