We all love a lunch or a dinner out. Most of us drool at the thought of such an outing but none more so than those who may be going hungry otherwise.
Under the Stars have been serving meals to the homeless and needy in Tauranga since 2014. They do this twice per week, every week, with a Thursday lunch and Saturday dinner. Under the Stars don’t quite wine and dine their guests, but they do offer wholesome and nutritious meals, as well as social interaction.
But they can’t keep feeding the homeless without the generous help of local businesses like Elizabeth Café and Larder. Elizabeth Café recently paid-it-forward 20 servings of their delicious chicken biryani to Under the Stars so they could continue the great work that they do for our locals in need.
S&L Land Specialists and Mike Greer Homes Tauranga were also part of the action with Elizabeth Cafe, adding their pay-it-forward to ensure enough meals could be made.
Why not also be part of the giving when you’re next in at Elizabeth Cafe and add a little to your bill when paying? They made incredible organic coffee as well as a menu and cabinet full of delights.
Or, if you’re not in Tauranga, head to our marketplace to see where you can pay-it-forward in your area.
Here’s how generous people just like you have made a difference to local people in need.
