We all love to hear a good success story. It’s the usual: people have an idea, take a risk and set out to start up a new business, usually with nothing more than energy and enthusiasm. They work hard, and work hard some more, and, in the end, it all pays off and they’re leading the market. Wow!
One example of such a story is Essano. Essano is now one of the fastest growing fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) companies in New Zealand, but they’ve been working hard to be that way for over 20 years (that’s a lot of blood, sweat and tears!). Essano is in the business of natural beauty products—their unique ranges are certified organic and can be found in various pharmacies and retail outlets. They have even expanded the company offshore, sending their wares to countries like China, Japan and the US. Now, that’s a great success story!
Not ones to rest on their laurels and let success go to their heads, Essano manufactures products that contain no nasties (so are gentle for all skin types), have not been tested on animals and, by 2025, they plan to only be using packaging that is 100% reusable, recyclable or compostable. They also believe in meeting needs in the community and paid-it-forward a $550 voucher for their products to Look Good Feel Better.
Look Good Feel Better is a not-for-profit that is all about empowering cancer sufferers to “face cancer with confidence”. They offer face-to-face and online classes for people to learn about how to be aware of self-care and how they look so that they can feel better about themselves—and so they can face and cope with their cancer and stand proud for doing so. It’s all about empowerment and self-confidence for those who had their looks, dignity and self-respect taken away from them by the “c” disease.
So, if you want to look good, think about buying Essano products, but if you also want to feel good, think about adding to your bill so that Essano can continue the pay-it-forwards to Look Good Feel Better.
Here’s how generous people just like you have made a difference to local people in need.
