Acknowledging loss

Losing a loved one is hard. Losing a baby before you’ve even met each other can be devastating, especially for first-time Mums. Miscarriage is often a taboo subject that isn’t talked about or even acknowledged much, yet the pain and loss is keenly felt by all those who will never get to meet this child.

Massage after Miscarriage was established for Mums who have experienced a miscarriage to help them grieve and feel as though others care about their pain and loss. Usually, the gestures include massages and gifts of flowers for the Mums, but there are other ways to show grieving Mums that they are still loved and to help them know that others feel for them in their time of pain.

The Paddington Store is one such business that wanted to show they, too, care about what’s happening to hurting people in our community, so they paid-it-forward 10 pamper packs to Massage after Miscarriage to pass on to grieving Mums.  These packs have scented treats and lotions that help to say, “we care about you.”

You can find Paddington Store in the Bayfair Shopping Centre at 19 Girven Road in Mount Maunganui. They are a treasure trove of interesting and unique gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, significant occasions, for the special someone in your life or perhaps even for yourself! When you come to pay, add a little to your bill so that Paddington Store can continue with the pay-it-forwards.

S&L Land Specialists, a Tauranga- and now Waikato-based company dealing in all aspects of land development, were also in on the action of supporting Paddington Store in their desire to help others in the community.

No one can take away the pain of losing a loved one, but we can help those grieving to somehow cope better with their loss.
