Can you imagine preparing 76 meals? We know—that’s a lot of food! Well, 76 locals in need have been served 76 delicious meals, whipped up by the talented chefs at The Atrium in Tauranga.

The Atrium is a café and eatery in Otumoetai, Tauranga (252 Otumoetai Road to be exact). The Atrium serves up artisan coffee, specialty teas and fantastic food for locals. They also offer gourmet ready-made meals for patrons to heat and eat later, 76 of which they gave away!

The Atrium paid-it-forward 68 of these meals through C3 City Church for their monthly Koha Dinners. These dinners are for folk in the community who do not have the opportunity or means to enjoy a restaurant-quality meal. C3 City Church works together with The Atrium, to host these dinners as a way to offer hospitality and fellowship for members of the neighbourhood. The other 8 meals made by The Atrium chefs were given to others in the community who needed them. Thanks to The Atrium for ALL that cooking—and generosity.

The Atrium was supported by corporate partner CSC Buying Group. ased in Cambridge, Waikato, CSC Buying Group is a not-for-profit buying group that helps businesses to buy food and  products at a reduced price. Buying in bulk means greater savings! CSC also believes in “building richer communities” through monetary giving and, like C3 City Church and The Atrium, having an outward focus and thinking of others’ needs.

If you, too, would like to try one of The Atrium’s meals, why not check out their ready-made meal freezer section when you are calling in for your coffee (and food) fix. You can also add a little to your bill to join The Atrium in paying-it-forward to others.
